BLUEFIRE PRODUCTIONS TO SERVE AS AUTHORIZED ADOBE CONTENT SERVER RESELLER
Bluefire Authorized to License Adobe Content Server and Related Products to Publishers and Book Retailers Worldwide
NEW YORK – February 14, 2011 – Bluefire Productions announced today at the O’Reilly Tools of Change (TOC) for Publishing conference that it is an authorized global reseller of Adobe Content Server 4 - a robust server solution that digitally protects PDF and ePUB e-books for distribution to a wide variety of mobile devices and desktop systems. In addition, Bluefire is now an authorized reseller of the new Content Server Vendor ID service that Adobe announced today via its Digital Publishing Blog.
Bluefire is one of a small group of authorized Adobe Content Server resellers. Bluefire can now provide content publishers and retailers new opportunities to extend their brands through custom e-reader apps directly and securely on iPhones, iPads, and (this spring) Android devices. The new Content Server Vendor ID service enables Bluefire to offer branded e-reading applications that seamlessly integrate a customer’s end-user account management system with the Content Server solution, allowing retailers and publishers to offer their own customers a streamlined workflow for getting started with their branded e-reading application, without the need to create an Adobe ID account.
“We announced our fist branded e-reader app with the Books-A-Million (BAM) Reader for iOS in December, and will announce additional new customers in the coming weeks,” said Micah Bowers, Bluefire founder. “With today’s announcement, we’re expanding our ability to provide powerful distribution, content protection, and customer management tools that remove the barriers that have traditionally separated publishers and retailers from their customers.”
The Bluefire reading applications for iOS and Android devices are built on the Adobe Reader Mobile 9 SDK and support content protected with Adobe Content Server 4. The Bluefire platform is fully customizable, giving publishers and resellers a powerful, flexible set of tools for managing their brand in today’s dynamic digital publishing market.
